Art has the power to evoke curiosity, instill mindfulness, create connections, heal and inspire. As an artist and educator who grew up and lives in Northern Michigan, Patrick is grateful for the awe-inspiring natural beauty the area provides.

 

Patrick holds a Bachelor of Fine Art and a Master of Art from Wayne State University. He spent several years at the Detroit Institute of Arts Education department and has taught art and design at several local colleges.

Patrick is a full-time artist and is in the process of developing a comprehensive Art Therapy program at Harbor Hall Addiction Treatment Center in Petoskey, MI. He is enrolled in the Peer Recovery Coach Mentoring Program (PRCM) and is working toward becoming a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). As a person in long-term recovery himself, Patrick is passionate about his relationship with his community and the wider world community. 

 

Through the creative process of art Patrick is able to help individuals at One Elm express themselves nonverbally, explore emotions and enhance self-awareness.
